While we photographers have been obsessed with how to deal with clients who demand our digital files, we’ve been overlooking a new business-building opportunity that the digital age has placed right at our doorstep: photo organizing and preservation.
During Ann’s 90-minute program, she will cover the following topics:
· Understanding why photo-preservation experts are worried about the coming “Digital Dark Age” and how this relates to your ability to sell prints to your clients.
· The financial benefits of becoming “a trusted family advisor” to clients on how to deal with the avalanche of important family-history images that are hiding in their cell phones; or packed away in fragile scrapbooks, albums, and shoeboxes; or stuffed in drawers throughout the house; as well as the photos of ancestors inhabiting boxes and trunks in the attic.
· Using photos and video to create “institutional histories” for local businesses, industries and community organizations.
