Image Competition Is Back...well sort of
Who says we can’t still take photos during this time...so grab your cell phone, your spouse, kids, pet, backyard or whatever it may be and enter COMPQUARANTINE.
Rules are as follows:
This is, of course, not a PPA/VPPA event, but we will be using some of the tools, the 12 elements and training we all get through competition. However, first and foremost, this is for fun!!!
We will be judging together –– using a very simplified version of the new PPA rules. Instead of scoring, it will be merit / no merit.
You may submit one (1) image in each of the three categories.
- Portrait - self, family, pet
- Landscape - must be your home or yard — no going off to the park
- Still Life - food, wine, hobby item or other
ALL images must be taken with your phone — no DSLRs, mirrorless, Canons, Nikons... you get the idea.
Images MAY NOT be edited out-of-camera (Lightroom, Photoshop, etc.). Submit as composed and taken in camera. Phone filters are OK as well as tweaking exposure, contrast, highlights, shadows, etc. in camera.
Image submissions are to be submitted to Steve Johnson (and, HEY, a big shout out to Steve for organizing this great activity.) Submit to Steve by Thursday, May 14.
