Kim Meehan Kiely and Cathy Benton come together to bring VPPA a program that will help us learn how to identify the 12 elements that make a merit print during a live demonstration with models.
Kim will work outside and Cathy will work inside Kim’s quaint yet beautiful studio nestled in Colonial Williamsburg to create Fine Art portraiture.
Kim, a Tidewater VPPA member and PPA member with 16 years of experience as a portrait artist will work with a model outside demonstrating the “creativity” element of merit images.
Cathy, a Tidewater VPPA member and PPA member with 30 years of experience as a photographer…and businesswoman will bring models in her couture dresses for her “style and composition” demonstration.
Together we all will look for and learn how to identify many of the elements used in working toward creating a merit image. Once we learn the elements and become familiar with “seeing” them – everything improves – images in print competition, client images and your vision for what you create.
These two women are here to share their knowledge and answer questions as they work their magic in bringing an informative, fun and exciting workshop to everyone.
