Join us on a tour of the Smithsonian National Air & Space Museum’s Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center!!
Have you ever wanted to photograph a space shuttle up close? Or a satellite? Or a multitude of planes and jets through the ages? Well, now here is your chance!
We will meet at the front entrance at 10:30 am. Parking is $15/car but entrance into the museum is free. Carpooling is a great way to save on the parking fee so that you have more cash to spend on lunch. Our tour starts promptly at 11:00 am and lasts about an hour. Following the tour, we will eat lunch at the restaurant on site. If you’d like to eat somewhere else, you can but you have to get a receipt so you can get back into the parking lot without paying again. After lunch, you can photograph on your own or explore or a combination of the two.
Note: tripods, monopods, and selfie sticks are prohibited. Nothing is mentioned about flash, but light stands would fall into the tripod category so leave those at home too.
