This meeting aims to discuss and get member feedback on the options for the disposition of the funds in our Capital District Treasury.
It's important to understand that the changes are necessary because of a change in our status with PPA. Up until 12/31/2022, the 4 VPPA Districts were each PPA affiliates. That is no longer the case. VPPA is now the only affiliate in the state. This change in affiliate status at the District level immediately impacts our treasury. All District treasuries need to be closed by November, but we get to decide what to do with the money that we have accumulated in our bank account.
